What is The Institute of CGE?
The Center for Great Expectations’ latest innovation in transformative, relational approaches is The Institute of CGE, the prevention, training and consulting division of our organization. The Institute, which optimizes social and emotional learning with proven methodologies for creating attuned cultures and resilient communities, offers a range of approaches to clinical settings, schools and workplaces, including emotional regulation and de-escalation strategies, as well as unmatched trauma-attuned clinical training. Rather than a one-time professional development training session, people everywhere are looking instead for holistic culture transformation and support and know that collaborating with The Institute means embedding optimal conditions for learning and working. The Institute is uniquely focused on creating Aware, Attuned and Aligned communities.
Is any of the training offered by The Institute of CGE available to the public?
Yes, there are several ways that members of the public may participate in our trainings. We offer live, free, 30-minute community support webinars accessible to the public. Previous webinars are also available for viewing. We often partner with other agencies who sponsor our training for their communities. Join our mailing list for notification about those events!
What does trauma-attuned mean?
We live in a stressful world, whether due to individual trauma, community trauma or the global trauma of the Covid-19 pandemic. Trauma creates stress, and living with chronic stress impacts health, happiness and the ability to function at our best. Being trauma-attuned means being able to recognize and respond to the emotional state of others—connecting with them in a way that enhances collaboration, improves relationships and promotes well-being.
Does The Institute measure success with data?
Yes, we do. We know that our programs make a difference, and we are dedicated to continual process measurement and improvement. All programs involve pre- and post-surveys to measure satisfaction in work, parenting and learning. Our results are overwhelmingly positive. Clients of The Institute can expect to achieve improved mental well-being, better organizational policies and practices conducive to mental and behavioral health, improved relationships, increased job satisfaction and decreased stress and anxiety.
Are your trainings live or virtual?
Our trainings are a combination of live and virtual events; we are able to deliver services either way! The proliferation of virtual training has greatly expanded our ability to share our message across the country!
I’m not in New Jersey, how can my organization take advantage of your trainings?
See above! We are able to deliver our services to your organization via a virtual platform.
What might a program cost?
These are highly customizable, competitively priced and will depend on each client’s needs. Our offerings range from a thirty-minute training to a comprehensive year-long program of consultation, training and support.
