Our History
The Center for Great Expectations (CGE) is well established as a national leader in the field of behavioral health and trauma-attuned care. With many years of combined clinical experience, CGE’s six core programs treat substance use and mental health disorders in adolescents and adults across a continuum of care that includes residential, outpatient, supportive housing, in-home counseling and prevention work. Our unique Trauma C.A.R.E model encompasses what we have learned and embodies what we do. We apply this model at every level of our agency and in our work with clients and partners.
This deep expertise led to the creation of The Institute at CGE, training, consulting and prevention program. The Institute was created to expand our work of building collaborative, trauma-attuned communities and environments. By bringing a leading-edge approach to this work through highly customized professional development, consulting and coaching, The Institute’s evidence-informed Attuned Community Approach helps to create empowered and resilient cultures across schools, workplaces and inside clinical settings. We are driven to be a part of the solution by collaborating with our partners to create positive paradigm shifts in cultures and address the social-emotional growth needs of our greater community.
